Guest Advocate — Patty Johnson

After many years spent trying to determine what I wanted to be when I “grew up”, it became clear to me that in all things, I want to be kind.  Once I understood that, the world of non-profit service opened up to me and I found my passion in serving.  My heart thrives when serving others. My journey began with empowering girls and women through the Girl Scouts and continued with supporting vulnerable parents, serving kids and adults at YMCA camps, and providing loving care for people with addictions at the Jackie Nitschke Center.  Through these experiences I learned that respect, kindness and empathetic support can bring renewed hope and trust to a broken spirit.

Outside of work, I can be found with my nose in a book, stomping through Baird’s Creek with our dogs or spending time at one of my beloved Y camps. And laughing with my crazy fun family.
