Newest Packer Kirksey supports our homeless brothers and sisters

The newest Packer Linebacker Christian Kirksey is already making an impact in Green Bay. Not only is he an exceptional athlete, but Christian is passionate about assisting those in need. He reached out to St. John’s, because he wants to ensure that homeless shelters have the items needed to sustain during such unsettling times. His heart is with the very people that St. John’s serves, and we are so grateful for his partnership. To give you an idea of how he’s helped, Christian has ensured we have essential supplies for our staff and guests by donating:

  • 20 packs of toilet paper
  • 20 packs of napkins
  • 540 bowls, 1000 spoons, 1000 forks, 1200 plates
  • 50 masks
  • 1000 cups

Not only this, but he also wanted for our guests to be able to share a meal and have their spirits uplifted even during this health crisis. So, he worked with Glass Nickel Pizza to host a pizza party, providing nearly 30 pizzas at both of our shelter sites, Spring Lake Church Downtown and St. John’s Homeless Shelter!

We are so thankful to Christian for thinking of St. John’s and his newest home here in Green Bay! His passion for supporting people experiencing homelessness is inspiring, and we look forward to welcoming him to Green Bay when he officially arrives! He is a great player that embodies our Green Bay values through and through. Thank you, Christian!
