When someone in the community uses their talents to benefit St. John’s, we can’t help but feel humbled and grateful as an organization. Frank and Deb reached out to do just that. Deb has crocheted items available on Facebook Marketplace with proceeds benefiting St. John’s. Frank says, “We are offering handmade items, and this month’s featured items are crocheted hat and sweater combinations suitable for infants 0 to 3 months. 100% acrylic, machine washable. 100% of proceeds will be given to St. John’s Homeless Shelter.”
When asked why they thought of St. John’s for this donation, Frank said, “We love to support local charities, which utilize the most of every donation and distribute the fullest amount to people in need. We believe smart and efficient charities such as Saint John’s Homeless Shelter provide a tremendous service to members of our local community.” He continues, “The experience of donating to St. John’s Homeless Shelter is a truly gratifying and positive experience which gives us greater sense of appreciation for the privileges we enjoy in this wonderful nation. I firmly believe the changes we want to see in the world must first be reflected within the thoughts of an individual’s heart and mind. Perhaps this venture will work as an inspiration for people who want to participate in donating.”
